Shunter is a new experimental, temporary cultural space at the intersection of contemporary club culture, performance, music, visual art and spatial design. We are building this platform together with makers, collectives and artists — from Rotterdam, across the Netherlands and beyond — to create work that is relevant, urgent and experimental.

Sound, light, body and architecture operate as one. The heart of Shunter is a series of multidisciplinary weekenders: peak moments where everything converges. Each one unfolds as a complete world — from performances and live concerts into day-and-night club programmes, inside and outside. Rooted in Rotterdam-Zuid. Connected outward. Shunter opens spring 2026.
